SC to hear AAP MLA Jaswant Singh’s plea against arrest in ED case on July 1

AAP MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjan Majra’s plea challenging his arrest and custody by the Enforcement Directorate in a money-laundering investigation linked to a bank fraud case will be heard by the Supreme Court on Monday. Earlier, the Supreme Court had denied interim bail to the Punjab MLA for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. In May 2023, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at locations associated with Gajjan Majra concerning an alleged bank fraud of Rs 40 crore.
