At Kautilya Economic Conclave, PM Modi says, “Last year, our economy did better than all predictions. All the institutions have upgraded their forecast related to India. All are saying that despite global uncertainty, India will grow at over 7% rate, but we the Indians are confident that we will perform even better than this…”
“Banking reforms strengthened banks and raised their lending capacity…We are focussing on logistics infra to bring down logistics costs. We ended 40,000 compliances,” he said at the Kautilya Economic Conclave on Friday in New Delhi.

At Kautilya Economic Conclave, PM Modi says, “This conclave is being organised at a time when there is a war situation in two big regions of the world. Both these regions are very important for the global economy, especially energy security. Amid this big global uncertainty, we are here discussing ‘The Indian Era’, it shows that today the trust in India is of different level.”

Seven Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region on Friday, a senior police official said. The gunfight broke out at around 1 pm in the forest of Abhujmaad on the Narayanpur-Dantewada inter-district border when a joint team of security personnel was out on anti-Naxal operation, he said.
The Supreme Court has dismissed a batch of pleas seeking review of its judgment which held that states are constitutionally empowered to make sub-classifications within the Scheduled Castes for granting reservation. A seven-judge Constitution bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices B R Gavai, Vikram Nath, Bela Trivedi, Pankaj Mithal, Manoj Misra and Satish Chandra Sharma said there is no error apparent on the face of the record.
